Best thing I could suggest is have a good read of the manual.. Kubota makes so many different configurations it's hard to keep up. I don't know for sure what the HST version is supposed to do, mine is gear drive.
I do know that mine needed a "tweak" shortly after I got it. I could stand up and still not shut the tractor down while driving along. So, after talking with the dealer service dept, I adjusted the tab that actuates the seat switch. Works fine now.

Sean you made my point better than I did and I should not have used the word odd. Also I may have gotten confused by who posted what. Thanks for mentioning the different configurations. I think my configuration is as it should be according to manual. It is an HST. Even if I leave it in gear the tractor goes no where and I lower the FEL to the ground as an added brake and for safety. Engine is functional in or out of gear on seat or not unless I have pto engaged. With pto engaged if I get off of seat engine shuts down after about 2 seconds. If I want to use off seat pto implements I must tilt seat forward within about 2 seconds or engine does shut down. This is mentioned in my manual for the B2320. Anyway, I weigh 132 lbs and like that the engine stays on when I get off the seat which happens a lot when I hit bumps
