Wish i had a plasma still as i would attempt a cab for my montana. I really would like one for this winter, maybe ill have to get some one to cut up some metal for me so i can fab one up.

I think if you left the original ROPS in place you could make a cab using wood. 2x2 for frame, 1/2 in pressure treated plywood as cover material, install windows, paint and stain your done.

Incredible job! Looks like you have good visibility out of it and it looks factory. I'll be really jealous when I'm outside blowing snow and its 20 below with a stiff wind! someday, someday maybe I'll get around to making one. Hopefully it turns out half as nice as yours.

Wow, that looks like a home run!

How 'removable' is it? Unless the intent was to never remove it...

Man you take the term "home made" to a whole new level...awesome job!

Your cab looks great !! How did you attach the glass? and if you don't mind me asking how much did the glass run?

Thanks

I always hate to ask people how much something cost and if you do not want to say, that is more than fine with me but I would be intersted in knowing. I just bought a Polaris Ranger and they want $4k for a cab. I know you probably have a lot of time in yours but I would think you were able to do it much cheaper than that and your looks pretty awesome.

Ya but i can weld fairly good, so id rather metal than wood. I just need something that is easily removable for summer time as i need to get into some spots were the cab would get damaged.

I hear ya on the damage thing. Brother keeps telling me the BX23 is not a substitute 4whlr. Do not have a welder @ this time.:( and brother's junkyard with all the niffty tools and srap metal is over an hour away.

the larger glass i instaled with rubber self locking weatherstripping like the front winshield of 80's style pickups. the smaller glass i instaled like the new glass on all new cars, special primers and fast cure urethane sealant. the glass was custom cut from patterns i made. cost just over 400 dollars. big expense i find. some shops get more than that.

about 1200 dollars. you have to shop around for deals on your metal and the glass. i could have easily spent twice that if i would have not shopped around. i live on the border of canada and glass and metal is exacly half of american suppliers. dont know why. you can burn alot of money paying for painting also. this was very cheap for me because i paint cars for a living.
