DIY tractor cab.

Very nice. 👍
I do wonder why "they" don't offer a simple enclosure. No fabric headliner, a/c, heat or radio. Simple to remove doors and glass too! Flat and gasketed for local glass shop replacement.
I guess I'm describing a cab of the 70's.😆

Do you have heat?

There's very cheap diesel heaters on amazon. Most of them start around $100, but I caught one on sale for $50 a few months ago. They take 12v to run the fuel pump, glow plug, and fans, but burn diesel for the heat.

That’s a good question. I believe my dealer could of sold me one but they are like $500 for a plastic one. To cheep for them to both with. They usually try to sell you a simms cab which are fairly well built but I believe $5000. Maybe the cab of the 70ies wasn’t a bad thing.

I have a diesel heater my wife got me for Xmas. When time allows I am going to rig some framing up so I hopefully will have heat. It’s not really required as it doesn’t get much below -10 celcuis when it snows. The defrosting of the window would be nice but there is lots of air flow so the windows haven been getting to badly frosted over. In time I’ll add that diesel heater and a manual wiper and some fancy work lamps.

Man your $50 diesel heater is a wicket deal. They throw some heat.

My good friend has a Bobcat gasoline sise by side. He did a cab and doors nice and tight but was having cold engine issues with that 20 Honda twin. He bought the 8000 btu diesel heater mounted it put a dirverter on the output heat to split it 1. Went into cab and 2. Went under unit to go into engine compartment. What a absolute world of difference it made with the operation of the engine and he can plow snow in his Tee shirt.
