Might be torsion axles though .....I asked what brand axles and he said Diamond C never lube axles. :confused3:
I think he ment nev-r-adjust for the self adjusting brakes, there are never lube axles that use a sealed bearing assembly, but ive never seen one for a 10k, only lighter axles.

Yes, when you choose 10k axles the springs go away. What bugs me about Diamond C is they use 215/75x17.5 tires (4800 lbs) on the 10k axles, that de-rates the axle and maxes out your tires all the time.

Hmmm, this isn’t sounding as good as I thought.

ok so I got some possibly decent news. Spoke with a different Diamond C dealer today. Hes putting a quote together for me on a deck over 16x8 dump with 2) 10k axles and an option for hydraulic jacks. Verbal quote was MUCH lower than other dealer. Like I think you made a mistake lower. Will advise when I get quote

What options did you choose? Hydraulic jacks would be nice but really spendy.

Just spare tire and wheel. I need to see if a tarp is standard.
Asked for hydraulic jacks as an option.

Beginning to wonder what it will weigh empty?
If the Diamond C is 20k GVWR but weighs 8k since its overbuilt, Im spending a lot of extra money for only a little more capacity than a Sure Trac 16k.

So a 10K axle would have 4 tires would it not? 19200 of load capacity and no axle derating due to tire specs according to my math.

I think they only use 1 “ super single “ tire.
Keeps tire width narrow enough for folding sides.

Appalachian offers a 19,000lb dump trailer that’s very affordable, but they don’t offer folding sides!! :confused2:

Well a super single typically is rated for approximately what a pair of duals would carry. Surely more than 4800lbs and it ain’t gonna be a 215.....

I don’t expect tire ratings to limit your GVW.
