Burn barrel question...

It's funny how some states ban burning, but they will burn all trash. CT has a trash to energy plant, can't be the only one
They also have scrubbers in the smokestacks, and sensors to monitor what comes out. That's why they can't burn PFAs, there is no real time way to test for them at the stack.

Most of what you see coming out is steam.

Honestly that's what I figure as well.

I think at the end of the day I was just stupid for not flattening them out not to look like a burn barrel. Never thought about it, just figured it was time to take them since I was loading up the trailer with other things.
take them to the metal recycling facility, or cut them up with your HVAC torch and put them in the trash container little by little until they are all gone .

They will do the same everywhere if the pine stand density has a high number of trees per acre and also if needlecast isn’t removed naturally (fire) or manually. My suggestion was to thin the trees to allow sunlight and grow native grasses. But we learned that the granitic soil material around Tahoe isn’t fertile and won’t grow grasses and forbs.
We're using our rows of pines to stress the rows of mixed hardwoods between them to grow tall and straight. It's a crop. Reminds me of being an ant in a cornfield when I look up.

Didn't go into a trash container, but an empty cardboard line set case. Don't have to cut the pieces too small that way.

I was left with two 55 gallon drums with used motor oil when tenant vacated… at a gallon per week it’s taking a very long time to get rid of…

The best burn barrels I saw were old stainless steel… my guess they might be archeologist find some day?

Here in the south with high humidity levels burn barrels, grills etc don't last too long before disintegrating. When the metal gets so hot as it cools down it draws moisture in. My BBQ grills rarely last 5 yrs before they have to have something done to them. Usually the burners/shields first then in a year or so the bottoms rust out.

Verdict is still out on a SS gas grill I bought for the river house. So far that looks pretty good, then again haven't used it much as I always use my Oklahoma Joes Longhorn combo smoker/grill.
