Poopdeck Pappy I'm with you on the derailing. I never even thought of it.

Because I use "Pats Easy Connects" I cheated and purchased a spline extension from ag supply and it has a lock button instead of the slide collar. Put one on my PHD too

Which spline extension did you get? I am looking for anything to make it easier for different attachments.

to get back on track (well maybe NOT) removing the PTO shield was the first modification I did to my tractor. Didn't have much use for the other safety features but kept some of them so far.

I'm able to turn my pto spline by hand to line things up (seems some tractors can not do this???) so I get the pto shaft lined up onto the splines ~ 1/4" then I can twist, pull back or push the button (yea, I got all three!?!) so that I can start to push the pto shaft on... once I clear the next 1/4" I release the collar or button and continue to push until the pto clicks into place.

Then I never let anything near the pto... once it's connected.

LOL. I hear ya, no worries. Yeah, thats the adapter I was thinking of. So, would I need one for each attachment?
