Bush Hog Razorback???

Does anyone have any experience with the Bush Hog brand "Razorback" rotary cutter? Apparently this is their light duty rotary cutter. The stuff I cut, is only high weeds and feskew, never any saplings or anything like that. Anyways, this particular cutter is the one that came on my TC29 tractor that was delivered to me last night. Im hoping its a decent unit that will last. Thanks!!

Hi Brad,

I don't think you"ll have any problems, but you have to remember it is only a standard duty rotary cutter and not try to "chop down the cherry trees"... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Also, you have to realize, with 25 PTO hp, you can accomplish only so much work at a given time... pushing that aspect will only "hurt" your tractor and implements sooner or later... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have a Razorback which is 3 years old. I opened up an old power line right of way with it (rocks, stumps, pipes, etc.) and get down into the woods every now and then. It's done well so far. It throws itself around more than a heavier unit would, but serves its intended use fine. I do break pins now and again, but I don't think I can blame that on the cutter.

My dealers sells a lot of the 4' Razorbacks on B7500's and B2910's. He says that they are great for cutting grass and weeds. He says they are great for a standard duty cutter and that he hasn't had any problems out of them.
