I have just one more working day till the foundation walls are erected.

This means I have some serious compacting to get done and a bit of more leveling.

"Just Leave me alone and I'll figure it out! Get the H--- out of here! Don't you have something to do?"

So much for giving sweetie backhoe operating instructions as she planted her apple trees.

She also did some brushogging while I pushed the excavator to it's limits wall building.

PS: Foundation wall photo's finally.

All I can say is WOW! That sure is slick how the basement is getting built. The whole project starting way back with the road is a most enjoyable read. Many many thanks for taking the time to share this. I bet you would get more views if the topic was a bit mroe specific. It is such a good topic that I hate for anyone to miss it.

Just an Update on the new homestead.

Winter is a coming. Got to get out the skis soon and lay up the excavator.

Tractor bucket forks are invaluable. L39 max Lift with forks is 1900 LBS, to about 3' off ground. I picked up 26 Sheets of 23/32 Advantec, and it was really straining.

Interesting.

I've never worked with pre-made panels, but have heard they are faster to install and offer supperior insulation. I didn't realize that the sheething didn't wrap around the corners. Do you do anything extra for this? or is it code as it is?

What is your R value for your walls?

What type of windows will you use so that you don't lose that R value?

Thanks,
Eddie
