Wrong seller, the ones we bought were from a seller that show Australia as location.

Well, I have what I have, so I'll just have to make do. Also, this:

I have a similar unit, I would not try to do that project with it.
Search Craigslist and marketplace for a used stick welder buzz box. If worse comes to worse for power access for 240 volts, run wire (10/3) to your welding location from your dryer outlet and put the necessary ends on the wire. Unplug your dryer when you are going to weld then when finished plug the dryer back in. This will prevent a possible overload of that 30 amp circuit by having both running st the same time. Of course if available, run a new circuit for the welder.
A stick welder similar to your flux core will be much less effected by wind than a gas based mig welder.

All good, the 15th I expect ebay to refund me. Honestly it seemed like a scam but with ebay/paypal its worth the try.

Sucker born every minute? ...And this is the reason scammers from around the world continue to do what they do... scam people who are gullible. You keep feeding them, they will never go away... (not that I really think they will actually stop)

The Craig's List scams are getting better, values that are a really good deal - harder to spot the fakes ones vs. real ones.

Calm down fella, nobody is a sucker here, everybody here thought it was probably bs. Ebay refunds you if it's a scam, so there's no loss.

Ok well, my drier is gas, and I will do this project with this unit because...what's the worst that will happen? I break a weld while plowing my driveway? Big deal, I'll just reweld it right there on the spot.

I don't think there was any issues with flashmotor, the ssqa plates that we bought were from a different seller.

Hey, if any of you left a ebay review on this guy, go back and make sure you did that correctly. There are people who wrote negative comments on him, but rated him positively by mistake.

I have my issues with ebay, but I must say they make buying on there a safe bet. Purchase refunded, case closed.

Probably not done by mistake! Ebay makes you do the cha cha-tango-charleston to leave a negative feedback. Lots of people will rate positive but slam them with comments and give poor star ratings to circumvent Ebay and there policies.

No, only as a seller...nearly impossible to leave negative feedback for a buyer. Yet another reason why selling on there kinda sux. But, as a buyer for leaving reviews, you've get 3 options (positive, neutral, negative), and then you write the comment. Quite possible though, if you don't choose one of the options but just write the comment, it automatically selects positive for you.
