Price Check Buying a used MX5100 - some questions.

Yes LD1, I got two rear remotes and a true third function. Top-n-tilt is definately on the list ASAP now. It's quite a pain not being able to adjust that stuff from the seat. And everything is so much heavier than the ford, I can't man handle it like I used to.

Quick question to you, as I know you have hydraulics experience: when I push the joystick past the float detents, I can hear the system go into relief and the loader creeps down ever so slowly. The lever does not lock in the float position. Could they have botched the remotes install? Any ideas?

Are the loader couplers fully seated and connected to the correct ports?

I'm replacing my Fordson and just pulled trigger on a 2012 MX5100 with 181hrs. I am also having the dealer add 3 remotes, it already had front 3rd function and filled rears. Now I have to wait for the remotes to be installed and shipping process to get it from PA to HI. I probably won't see it until late January '17.

Just wanna know how much I actually saved. My dealer never quoted me a price installed. And I didnt even price everything. I just inquired about the valves and when he started spewing out the prices, I didnt pursue the matter any farther, I had heard all I needed.

Just as a point of reference LD my dealer charges $1100 for the 3rd function hydraulic set up. Seems to be the going rate around here. I've not got the 2nd remote quoted from them. Should have had that put in when I got the tractor I guess.

The 3 remotes were $2,400 which included one float. I had read your thread on the DIY remotes and decided I needed the remotes on arrival and I'm just not clever enough to get the job done in short order ... but I was tempted.

I chose the MX over an '04 L5030 on the west coast with 354 Hrs primarily on age and extras. I got this one with the remotes, a 3rd function and loaded tires landed in Carson, CA for what the L5030 would have been with just the 3 remotes and no QA on the loader which is about what the OP said his would cost before the remotes. The only difference is the ding in the hood.
