I saw the carryall at tsc and remember it looked nice. Cant recall the price tho. Sure its close.

What did they fill your tires with? I've seen antifreeze, window wash fluid, foam and even quickcrete lol. Don't think ill be going with concrete haha.

Bought the carry all at TSC and paid $120, I believe. Great unit for the price.

I use the TS carry all on my B2920, I think when I bought it it was about $100. Did you mention whether you had the thumb on your BH? That's a fairly handy accessory.

I have rim guard (beat juice) in the tires.

Yes I go the thumb. Looks very handy. Thanks all on the carry all. for some reason I can't get TSC's website to display the local price of the carryall even after I put in the zipcode. Great price on that. I did see it in person and some of the threads on it here. Will def get.

Getting quote for filling the tires. Looks like its $100. Def going for that as well.

What's everyone's thought on the HO alternator? I didn't get the ROPS lights. $100 seemed a bit much for normal lights and I'd rather have LEDs ($200! from kubota.) I'm sure I can rig something up easy enough.

I'm not planning on massive amts of flood lights. Esp w/ LEDs I think the std alternator would be enough?

On the BH get the 16 inch bucket, you will be glad you did. Tractor has plenty of power to dig with it.

I have the regular worklights, which aren't LED and the regular alternator and its fine. If you go LED you don't need the HO alternator.

Trade in that 12" bucket for a 16", we have clay here and my dealer recommended I not go with the 12" because they get complaints about the clay sticking and not falling out of the bucket. The 16" is about the right size where there's enough weight for it to fall out and I have had no issues. It does get roots and clay stuck in the BH teeth, I had to floss it the other day with a shovel. I'm right at 46 hours on my B2920 and have dug about 20 stumps with it so far, the 16" is a root ripper. The largest stump so far was a 30 inch diameter Fir tree, that mother had roots the size of some stumps. Yeah that stump is still sitting in the ground waiting for the stump grinder no way this tractor was going to move that thing its huge but I was able to rip out all its roots.

Pro tip - if you get in the habit of moving your chainsaw and gear around in the FEL bucket remember to take it out before digging in a dirt pile :duh:

Re: 16" bucket

Has anyone with the 16" bucket built French drains? One of the main things I want to do w/ the backhoe.

I had been doing reading regarding bucket sizes, some had said the bigger is better as its easier to get into the bottom of trenches if you have to work in them. Others said the 12 is better as its less fill. I did talk to the dealer way back when and he didn't think the soil would stick bad. IDK if he really knows tho. Sounds like plenty of power w. both.

I can see both sides, but went with the smaller figuring I could always cut bigger but not smaller holes.

Other than a lot of fill, the 16" bucket does sound better. Maybe I should switch...

Are the Kubota lights any good, are they work the $100 rather some aftermarket lights?

Nice one one the Fir stump. I have a stump like that. Huge white pine came down in Sandy. Was it worth partially digging up before sending in the grinder? Mine def needs to be ground, but the stump is built up in a mound also, so needs lots of work to bring it down level.

Can you replant near the old stump?

Yes its worth digging out the roots, many are shallow and I want to grade and till that area before planting grass and those roots some of them are 20 foot or more long. Regarding the BH bucket, its only 4 inches wider than the 12 I don't think that's going to amount to a hill of beans in terms of digging smaller holes with the 12 inch. One nice thing, you get an extra BH tooth (4 total) on the 16 inch bucket.
