BX 2200 LIFT ARM ADJUSTERS

How's this? The retrofit application is on a B7500. From Walt's descirption, it may be different on a 2200. Yeah, it's dirty but I didn't have time to wash it tonight.....................chim

This setup looks a lot beefier than the turnbuckle on my 7500, but it doesn't look to be as infinitely adjustable as the turnbuckle?

I kind of like being able to snug the lower arms up tight when
I attach the box blade or brush hog.

Am I missing something here?

These adjust to limit sideway swing quite nicely. There are a couple of elongated holes for attaching something you choose to have some movement with. The photo doesn't show it, but the holes in the outer tube are evenly spaced, while the holes in the inner bar are unevenly spaced. They are almost infinitely adjustable. You don't need to move the lift arm very far at all to drop the pin in a different hole. Gotta go to work now, but I'll measure the amount of adjustment between holes tonight........chim

Great alteration Guys! Is the total cost on this about $55?
Those turnbuckles are too slow for my liking. I like making modifications to make my tractor more operator friendly. If that is the cost it is going to be added to the to do list.

That $50 was what it cost me to trade my brand-new factory turnbuckle setup for the telescoping ones. Without the unused turnbuckles to trade, it would have been $120..............chim

RJS, sorry I got busy and forgot to measure till tonight. Like I said, the holes in the bar are unevenly spaced. What happens when you swing the lift arm slightly, different hole combos align. If you pull the pin and move the arm, there is another pair of holes that line up with about 1/8" of movement at the captive ball where the implement attaches. It's pretty easy to have the implement centered or off-center if you wish. There's one spot I mow where it is kinda nice to have excess deck to the right. It allows the deck to be close to the dropoff with the tractor on firmer ground...............chim

Once you've recieved your parts book you can look at the picture and identify all the parts your want as well as obtaining the part numbers.

As for me, I've been testing various wheels in an attempt to offer a upgrade kit for the el-cheap-O anti-scalp wheels for the BX 54 and 60 inch mower decks. I've been testing various wheels and various bearing combinations. I should have something finalized withing the next 2 or 3 weeks.
