Your right about the 0% deal. At 17k for the 3200 it makes the purchase somewhat affordable. 7k for the BH later on and 1800 for the mower attachment. Pretty good deal.

So why not split the difference and get a B2620 or B2920 with the hoe? Should price in between the BX25 and B3200 with backhoe. Is there a reason you're not looking at those options, or why your salesman hasn't mentioned them? Just something else to consider.

NevadaMOGuy,

I'm leaning toward the 3200 thinking I can take care of most of my needs on the 5 acres and pick up some side work and put my young lazy boys to work a little!

probably the best choice for you! with all the projects you have listed i would recommend the b3200 too. try the back hoe from the dealer on the stumps. its a free try out!!! if it goes good, then you will know how much you like the hoe for that kind of work. if it doesn't go so good, then your dozer option is still open. back to the b3300su idea. the back hoe can be added later on. it doesn't have a mid pto and you mentioned mowing. your options would be a mid mount mower (belly mower), rear finish mower (3ph), or a complete seperate unit. only you can decide that one. with the mid mount mower on, it will limit your ground clearance when doing other tasks such as loader work, so you might end up taking off/putting on the mmm a bit. if the dealer has a good deal on the b3200 as compared to the b3300su, then the b3200 will be fine too. definetly try them out at the dealership and enjoy shopping.

i have been enjoying shopping for my b3200 or b3300su this spring and i haven't even test drove them yet! just looking at them and getting all the specs and attachments sorted out with the price and financing. the kubota 0% for 60 months runs through june, so you got some time, but that time will go quickly.

i was set on the b3300su at first, but now have started looking heavily at the b3200 just because of the 72" mid mount mower, (mid pto). i already have the b7800, which i will keep, so i know what the tractors are like. my b7800 has over 900 hours on it now. i have also been around kubota engines and such for quite a bit of my short life and they are top notch engines and machines. i really feel you would enjoy whatever kubota tractor you get, provided it is the one that feels right to you. try them out first and i doubt you will be disappointed.

NamesRay,

Thanks for the input. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to try and squeez the best deal possible out of him. Can you explain the difference between the MMM and I guess the 3200 would be a Tph attachment? Am I right? What are the advantages to using the mower with the Tph?

the mid mount mower (mmm) is the type that runs off that mid pto on the b3200. it mounts on like a regular mower deck on a regular lawn mower, between the front and rear tires=mid mount mower. the rear finish mower is a mower deck built to run off the rear of the tractor's 3 point hitch and rear pto. (could be run off most any tractor with rear pto.) rear finish mower is like a bush hog, but made for more finer cut and not to cut brush or saplings like a bush hog, but both are ran simular. a mmm will out mow a rear finish mower simply due to manuverability. the mmm being in the middle of the tractor allows the operator to make tighter turns and "mow" those tighter turns. a rear finish mower will swing wide behind the tractor and leave big skips. you can get use to a rear finish mower and compensate for this, but if it all came down to it, a good operator on a mmm will out mow a good operator on a rear finish mower 9 times out of 10. i know because i worked on a golf course for 6 years and saw simular instances in action.

the advantages to a rear finish mower compared to a mmm is that i think they are a little easier to hook up and un hook. easier to get to on the back 3ph compared to crawling around between the front and rear tires under the tractor. also when doing loader work, the mmm will limit the ground clearence if you get in rough terrein, so you might have to take the mmm off to do your loader work and put it back on again to mow each week. there is give and take between each one. it all depends on what you want to do and how you want to mow. i plan on mowing commercially with mine, so that is why i am getting the mmm. also when trailering it, it will take up less space lengthwise on the trailer then the rear finish mower so i can fit my other mower on the trailer at the same time to go mow. if i was just mowing my lawn and smooth sections of my wifes horse pastures, i would choose the rear finish mower, but i like the mmm for the reasons i stated.

Jim,

Suggest you read Jim Wilson thread recently and if you have more questions search on Jim Wilson - you will read alot about his decisions. He has a BX23 and is upgrading to a B3200 with a BH and so on. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-buying-pricing/244357-60-front-end-loader-bucket.html

The 3200 has the mid PTO which is what the mid mount mower (MMM) needs to run!

A Backhoe without a thumb is like digging with four fingers - get the BH77 with the Mech Thumb - you wont be disappointed (unless you have a BH with hydrauylic thumb already).

Spec wise seems you want to get the B3200HSD, 504 loader QA bucket, 77BH with Mech thumb and a MMM. I would also get a HD cutting edge for your FEL bucket.

Since you have dirt and land reclaim work to do I would get a "York Rake" which levels dirt and rakes roots from your stumping job.

A box blade is VERY subjective depending on your area - with rocks and roots they dont work wqell like New England) but in other areas the Box Blade works well, but for the most part a tined rake will be better for your tasks ahead. Forked River is ocean side NJ and pine barrens, so if your ground is mostly sandy then the BB might work..

Still like the 3200, seems like more machine for a little more money.

That's fine - your decision, but I just priced out a B2620 with FEL, industrial tires and 60" MMM (largest available) and BH at $27K MSRP vs a B3200 with FEL, 72" MMM (again largest available) and BH at $30.8K MSRP, so $4K MSRP difference. I beleive the B2920 is $1K more than the B2620 so an estimated $3K difference at MSRP.

Now if he has a B3200 on the lot and is offering a screaming deal, it may be more tractor for a little more money vs ordering a Bxx20 tractor - don't know. See if he has any Bxx20 series on the lot and at least take a look at them before you make your final decision if it means getting the B3200 without BH vs getting a Bxx20 with BH. Just giving you more to think about. Good luck.

Take a little time and watch some of the videos at this site. I said a little time, it's easy to spend a lot of time watching them.:)
Seems you want the B3200 and I believe it will do your jobs. If you can afford the BH I'd get it now with the 0% interest. It won't get cheaper later. Dealer can install it and you'll know it's done right or it should be. Looks like you have need for it now.
The B3300 with out the mid pto may be cheaper but I'm of the opinion that at resale time they will bring less than that savings amount and be harder to sell, just one mans opinion.
I've had a B3200 and have a BX25. If my property was more level and I was buying today I'd buy a B model with BH instead of the BX25. Not downing the BX25 but it is smaller and therefore takes a bit more time to do some of the jobs and of course the lower ground clearance which is good for me since I'm on hillside but can be bad in other situations.
Sit on the different models and then get your prices and divide by 60 and see which monthly payment you can live with. I believe any of them will do the job for you but for some of us the monthly payment will make the choice.:)
