BX 2680. Front bucket, grapple, pallet forks, box blade aireator 008-5 excavator ZD 1211 mower RTV 500
Years ago I started with BX and up graded several tractors then went tractorless. Now with age and back issues I need a powered wheel barrow and am looking at the BX 2680 to service my one plus acre yard . Comments on that tractor are appreciated

I have the middle brother 2380...it's been a great addition for me. Really works beyond it's size, and has been trouble free so far, going on 2 years & 100 hrs. Would go the same route if doing it over today.

BX23s here, unless you have an implement that needs the extra power I would avoid the premium of the 2680 and go 2380. If you only need a wheelbarrow the 1880 would likely suffice at a much cheaper price, don't need big HP for loader work.

Went 2680 price they offered as I have bought quite a lot from them over the years and the high back seat but mainly because the deal they made me . Might add a post hole digger at some point to dig holes for schubs.. my wife said whatever works to protect your back and neck

Congrats on the new machine. I really like the BX machines and have no regrets not going larger.

Been an interesting road. About 12 years ago I started with a BX, Can't remember the model. Then I upgraded to a BX 25 (first edition) but after two years I needed a little more power and ground clearance and I was not using the back hoe. Went to a B series but again after several years of working in the hot Texas summers and dust I traded for a B2650 with cab. Great tractor. Last fall as my doctor discovered that my neck was degenerating more (the human body was never intended to pull lots of G's for many years followed by 30 years of additional abuse. I was advised to sell the tractor as the bouncing was not helping the neck. Well, now it is spring and lots of yard work. My wife, still my bride after 52 years, said calmly "how are you going to move the mulch and other yard stuff around this year and the correct answer is not shovel and wheel barrow". Smart lady and thus the new BX with strict instructions to wear a soft neck collar when using it. We should all have great wives that understand the need for power toys

Ha ha we both have good wives then! I got my first machine 30 some years ago, bout the size of a B2650. I had been looking for a new machine for the last 10 years but never followed through, the wife finally got tired of this non productive cycle and last summer said I'm going to look at and Bring Home a new bucket digger, code for tractor loader backhoe you want to come along?

There is a delay in picking up the new machine as they had to order the turf tires and it has got me thinking and looking for answers. Do I really need the middle mower? I had one on my B2650 and only used it when I was mowing other people land as I have my tried and true 12 plus year old ZD1800 for my land. If I did not get it I would have more ground clearance without removing the mower and at my age I'm trying to remove my self from being the neighborhood " he has a tractor guy" .

My primary use will be the front loader as mentioned above and moving a trailer around, although I can do that with my RTV. So the next question is should I consider the 23S and have a backhoe? Had one years ago on the first addition BX 25 and used it some but found with my back removing and installing it was an issue. So those with a 25D or a 23S, how often do you use your backhoe and do you always turn the seat or sometimes use it while standing. See if my 2680 had been ready last week I would not be asking these questions ...... but it is a rainy day here

I started out my buying excursion wanting a BX2380. I didn't want the backhoe, didn't think it was going to get used enough to justify the additional cost but the wife was really pushing for the additional purchase. I have to admit I'm glad I decided to get us what we both thought we needed the BX23S. I purchased the thumb for the backhoe also. I use the backhoe almost as much as the loader. With the thumb I can pickup darn near anything and transport or elevate the item. And no I don't always turn the seat around to use the backhoe, can't say I've used the backhoe while standing though, I'll have to try it.
