Re: BX "Boulder Holder"

Roque the first time you remove and install it it will take perhaps 20 minutes but once you have gone through it you will take about 2 minutes off and maybe 5 or so to reinstall, occasionaly about 10 if I am not lined up good. It is about the same diffuculty (easy) as removing the MMM or reinstalling it--actually easier I think.
Yes you can mow with the FEL attached but it is about 560 lbs of extra weight squashing your grass, compacting your soil and I can assure you when you hit something with that FEL it is going to tear the crap out of whatever it is that get's hit. Hopefully it will not be a dog, kid, wife--keep them away from that loader and keep your fangles out of the holes the side pins go in when removing and installing lest thy wind up fangleless cuz that loader means buisness.
Some excellent BX sport, hide behind a bush while waiting for the neighbors to think you are not at home and when they start up there little LT run out and flip it with your loader, LT flipping, kind of like dwarf tossing. Gosh that was not very PC of me, hope I did not offend any one. J

Re: BX \"Boulder Holder\"

We do Huffy tosses at Mountain Bike races sometimes!
Equally as fun, but more work (what pipes)
I should have listened to you in the first place when you told me to get the loader!

Re: BX \"Boulder Holder\"

I have a BX2200 and I do not mow with the loader on.
It is so easy to remove the FEL (about 3-5 minutes at a leisurley pace, no tools, no effort..seriously) that I take it off. The first time I took it off it took me about 10 minutes to put back on. This was due to the parking brake being on. I found that if you leave the tracor in neutral without the brake on it is much easier to install. This enables the tractor to move alittle and the loader and pins just slide right in without having to muscle it.
The maintenance is about 10 grease fittings.
It does not steal power from the tractor while mowing since you are not using the loader while mowing.
If you have trees it will be harder to mow with the loader on, since you must keep track of it while backing up etc.
You may just run the loader into a tree. I believe it would also reduce the ride quality, since the tractor would tend to bounce more back and forth with the loader hanging out front.

Re: BX \"Boulder Holder\"

I mow with the loader on but i remove the bucket with the bracket i made. less trouble than finding a spot for the whole assy.2 pins and the bucket(or my other attachment0 is off.
