Oh good heavens! I have no problem with that at all! Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Now if you try to steal the actual tractor.... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

( They are very good and are part of my decision process between the Curtis and Sim's cab. Have you posted some pics of the rear of the cab before? )

Here is a web page with more pictures of the cab and heater set up. I think I may have a few more kicking around too so let me know if there is a particular shot you'd like to see.

Junkman you can look too if you want! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bob,

If you have more pictures of how they routed the heater hoses in the engine compartment and the bottom T fitting in the lower radiator hose that would be great. I picked up a Curtis heater on e-bay for a Kubota RTV 900 for $98, I have it mounted in the cab, just need to connect the heater hoses.

Thanks

Sorry, I don't. I'll take a look and see if I can get some more detailed pictures in the next day or two. No crawling under the tractor though! I don't do that anymore.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Rear of the cab. Sims was so concerned for air coming into the cab they added this vinyl cover.

I called Sims and asked if they have a cover for the air in take for the engine. They said no, but Curtis has one. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif So I covered it with plastic, makes a big difference.

How easy do the doors come off?

Boy, does that look better or at least more substantial than the Curtis. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

AV,

The left side door you remove one bolt that holds a cable on the door to prevent the wind from damaging the door. Then you just lift the door off two pins. The right side door snaps into place with about 10-15 snaps with Velcro along the edges. This door is not met to be removed very often. I like the Sims because it has more steel then vinyl. But both are much better then having snow blown in your face and down your back when snow blowing. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Agreed on both points. How quiet is it inside the cab during snow blowing, etc. Was that effected much? Do you keep it on during the summer?

Thanks for the answers on all the sill little questions.

The noise level was not bad at all. Next time I have the BX out I will take a noise level reading just to see. I think it is less then when I have the MMM running. I think the 1 inch head liner makes a big difference.

My plan is to take the cab off in the summer. I have installed a Harbor Freight hoist in the garage to lift the cab off. The section of the cab where the heater is located will remain and the top section will come off.

I plan to rewire the heater so the wires on the side will not be subject to the door hitting it. The extra outlet on the heater pointing towards the windshield I hope will take care of the frost on the windshield when blowing snow.

If you have more questions, or need more pictures let me know. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
