Grading BX front blade question

/ BX front blade question #23
The shoes are from Woods, my Kubota dealer ordered them for me. I think they were around $28. I just finished making shoe mounts for the front blade and I bought a pair of Western shoes for $13 each.

Maybe this'll get out. Please help. Looking for the manual on how to install and remove the front subframe(BX2711) on our BX 1500. The dang thing will be in the way of the mower deck come spring, when the snowblowing fun ends.
Any help please respond e-mail, or here. THANKS! natanddiane@cecomet.net

There are two large T handle clamps on the front of the frame at that top of the hitch. Just loosen these to lift the hitch off. You might need a wrench to get them loose, but is is very easy to do. If your tractor has a drive shaft attachment to the front hitch, you remove that the same way as you remove the mower deck drive shaft. Once you have the T handles loose, there are some pins at the bottom that will also need to be removed, but that part should be self evident how to do it. Just be careful because the hitch is heavy and can catch you off guard and do some serious damage if it falls on your foot. Just don't unscrew the T handles completely, just loosen them.

I have a BX1500 I'm considering adding the front blade to.

I've gone a whole season with the FEL and despite my best efforts to not mash on the cutting edge, there's only so much I can do with a gravel drive.

So, my question is: can I keep the bracket for the front blade in place while the FEL is attached?

Obviously, the hoses would need disconnecting, but I envision wanting to switch between the two depending on whether it's light or deep snow and am looking for the least amount of time/effort to switch.

If you ask me it's not worth it to let it on.I tried it once,I have a bx2230,I left the blade mount on with the loader on and it just seems you are always looking not to run it into something or the hose's are heading for the ground even though there tied up.The blade mount is so simple to take off 1 lever for blade 2 pins for mount, uncouple 2 hose's it's only 5 min's or less an it's off and out of the way.The first time you do it it may take a little longer but till my tractor is warmed up it's off or on.So i guess the answer you are looking for is Yes you can let it on if you so desire. PS If I were buying a blade again for snow removal it would be the power angle if money was not an issue, but I know it usally is. good luck

I know this is a little early to be asking questions about snow removal, but I'm just looking to plan ahead. I just purchased a used front blade for my bx2230. It did not come with any manuals. It is the manual angle/hyd lift.

My question is: how do you control the hydraulic cylinder on the blade when you remove the FEL (hyd valve stays with the FEL)?

I was thinking of purchasing a separate hydralic control valve and fabricating a mount that I could attach after removing the FEL. While I'm at it, I thought I might get a 2 spool valve and also add a hyd. cylinder as shown in the previuos threads.

Would this be the correct valve to use?

I'm in the process of setting up a BX1500 like this except it will have a rear tiller on the back instead of the back blade.

If I need to use a back blade i can put it on the other BX1500
