Yes. Just finished up today. I have put in lots of pipe around the place as I stated before. The BX can handle any trenching you may want to do .
I have lots of natural springs on my property and the driveway always iced up in the winter and got real soggy with the rains.
I dug down about the depth of the backhoe bucket on end and keep the as my guage to tell me if I 'm digging my trench level. I used corregated 4"' drain pipe along the drive and schedule 40 pipe anywhere I crossed the drive.
I used landscape fabric to wrap the pipe to keep it from silting up. I found it cheaper to buy a 3'by 50' roll of landscape fabric than the white wrap they sell for the pipe. I use electrical tape to wrap the fabric on the pipe. I cut the whole roll in half using a sharp pocket knife or razor. The first time I think we tried to cut as we went and boy was that a headache. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I can get 3B gravel pretty cheap from a local quarry ($9 a ton delivered) so I use it fill the ditches to the top. One level FEL bucket fills the ditch to the top if you dig like I said above with the BH.

This is my back 'yard' that will require at least 100 tons of fill to get a table flat (slight grade for drainage) playing area for my kids. Figuring 40 tons 3/4 stone, 20 tons clean fill, 30 tons of topsoil and don't forget the compost. Planning on using york rake/harrow or chain link/roller to work the material, plant seed in the fall. Kind of boring picture now but I'm quite excited about the whole project-it is just fun stuff.

Thanks for helping spend my money BX24, MD taxes...5%, industrial R4 filled tires, delivered...Total:$15,532 . I think it is a fair deal. First project with the BX23 was a down spout drain pipe. Small project that didn't take long at all.
