I’m in the market for a tractor and have decided on a Kubota BX22 or a B7500 with a MMM. The primary reason for the tractor is mowing 41/2 acres and homeowner landscaping projects. I am leaning more toward the BX22, however, I would appreciate any input on which tractor to purchase and also any local dealer recommendations

There have been several recent threads on this very topic, or at least the B700 vs the BX-2200, with some pretty detailed comparisons.

Will you be buying a BH with the B7500?

I went through the same thoughts last year, and will say without a doubt, go with the B7500. I have just under two acres, and love my B7500. I have returned to the dealer since I bought mine and sat on the BX... and am really glad I spent the few bucks more. Understand that I came from a garden tractor that was ancient, and even though the garden tractor had a small frame in comparison to the B7500, the B7500 turns a super small turning radius, the larger tires give a better ride than the BX, the 3pt capacity is greater on the B, and I have heard of problems with some 3pt attachments on the BX due to height restrictions. The BX may give a better cut, I have heard, but I certainly cannot complain about the 60"mmm on the B. I think that with your acreage, you can'y go wrong a little larger in frame size. I will say that even though I only have 2 acres, i do wish I would have had the extra $$ to buy the 2410. Well, maybe it's time to upgrade. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif It's almost certain that you will always find the need and desire for a larger unit AFTER you have purchased the smaller one. Check out the past posts. I know I posted for a lot of help last summer... BX22 or B7500.

Ordered a b7500 with a bradco backhoe, 60" MMM, and a 303 FEL. I am building a house and have a little over 3 acres to mow. Will I be happy or sad? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I use my 7500 for 12 acres including: 1 acre pond, 3 acres of finish mowing, 400' gravel drive (snow removal) and 3 acres of brush hogging. All with no problems or complaints.
The answer to your question - Happy of course!

I love my B7500 and I live in Ashland. I got mine from Davis Equipment and they were great folks. I have 200 hours on my Bota now, most of it grass cuttin' but use it to bush hog, till and anything else I can find.

CDay- I bought my B7500 from Beard's in Crestwood last summer. I would check them out and ask for Terry the sales manager there. He was really good to work with and gave me what I thought was a very fair price. I use mine on 6 acres and she works just great.

I'm pleased with the B7500. Here is a photo of a project I just finished, the brush on the right side of the lane was within 3 feet of the blacktop before I started. Tools used included a stihl brush cutter, chainsaw and B7500 with landpride 48 inch brush hog.

I just went through the same selection process . I bought the B7500 and am glad I did. It fills my needs perfect. The best choice I made was getting a backhoe right in the beginning. There are sooooo many uses for the BH. The more experience I get with it the longer the project list is getting. For my uses, I think the additional clearance on the 7500 v BX is significant and should be considered.

Just went through the same process. bought a BX22 two weeks ago and love it. The thing is a worker. I have about 4 acres to mow so the main reason I went with the BX was the better mower and the frame mounted backhoe. The B7500 is a good machine and i'm sure i'd be happy with it also.

1st day on website, fantasic, just started looking at tractors today. like BX2200, but the board is giving me a lot of things to sort thru, mainly figuring out abbreviations and if a BX22 is the same as a BX2200. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

WELCOME!

The BX22 is the same tractor with an added subframe (about 200lbs more weight for total of 1520lbs), backhoe and loader. It comes as a packaged TLB (tractor, loader, backhoe), then you can add any of the other BX implements. The BX2200 will use the same implements and can be fitted with the same loader, but you cannot add a backhoe to it.
