BX2200
Hi, Just brought home my first BX, a BX2200 with 54" deck and FEL.

My Deck seems to lower once I have lifted it on the left side that the right, is there an adjustment for that?

Thanks

Ashley.

there is an adjustment on my bx2370 that is controlled by a long rod with a nut on the end. the location is behind the driver side rear fender above the wheel close to the frame. Not sure but may be there on the bx2200 as well.

It has been some time since I had a 2200, but I remember at the lift Pin spring on each side there is a threaded linkage to adjust the level of the mower. There is also a slot above the threads that allows some movement, you may have some obstruction whereby the deck is not leveling out. Hope this helps.

Correct. There is a threaded rod with a yoke on the other end (on each side of the tractor) that allows separate left/right height adjustment. This is a little short stubby thing maybe 2 or 3 inches long. Not the long rod that Chucky79 was talking about.

JWR has your answer. Make sure there is a bolt on each side for adjustment.
My BX2360 only came with one on the right side from the factory.
I bought a second one at the dealer, and now both sides can be properly adjusted.

I'm thinking that you should adjust the height and level on the mower in the lowered position. I use 3 inch wood blocks and set the knob to 3 inches and then lower the mower and adjust it until it just touches the blocks on each side. I do that on a level cement surface in my shop. You can do the block thing for setting the front to back angle as well except one block needs to be higher (back I think) than the other. Good luck!

Be sure and inspect the links and pins for excessive or uneven wear. This will effect your height adjustment. On my BX the wear makes it necessary to set the height adjustment to 3.5 to cut at 3. The cam and lift links wear from the vibration.

Make sure the rear tires are equally inflated before you start any adjustment.

It makes considerable difference whether the deck is designed to be "riding the ground" or suspended by the tractor and only being kept from scalping by the wheels. The difference may be more in understanding the mechanics than it is in the actual hardware adjustments. I have an older B2150 with the deck designed to "ride the ground" and the wheels really set the grass cutting height. On my BX2200 it is the opposite -- the deck is suspended on the tractor with grass cutting height set by that rotary black knob and the wheels are only supposed to prevent scalping. You cross from one to the other anytime you set the black know such that the wheels touch the ground. Frankly the older design does a better job in my opinion because the "rocking" around of the deck is not an issue in actual cutting height. BY THE WAY, On the BX2200 and similar ones, be sure that the deck is all the way up before you try to turn that black height knob. If not up, the knob screw drive is under the load of the deck and forcing it to turn breaks the phenolic knob. Costly small part !

At 940 hours my 2001 barely lifts the left side at all...still mows fine and is level when it sets down on the cutting height adjustment...dealer said the lifting arm is "worn hard" but didn't replace it even though I requested the repair.....seems like it's not uncommon.....

To coin a phrase "Somethin ain't right." I own one and have gotten 2 others used for other folks. Never saw one you could not level. As noted in prior posts the BX2200 has separate adjustments left and right. I cannot picture how a lifting arm gets worn enough to do what you are describing. Clearly something is not right. Potentially one of the linkage parts got bent (??) Regardless of what it is there is definitely a way to get the left and right sides of the deck to lift equally. You should be able to look underneath while having a 2nd person raise and lower the deck and see what the culprit is. If that dealer is not cooperative (or competent) take it to a different dealer for diagnosis if you can't figure it out. Or for that matter any handy mechanic. This is definitely NOT rocket science.
