Oil & Fuel BX2200 fuel tank leak

Did you use only the service bulletin? I'm trying to get up the nerve to do this; I'd prefer something with step by step illustrations to go with the step by step instructions. It is self explanatory once you get down to the fuel sensor?

There was an instruction sheet with the kit, I don't recall having any problems other then the clearance is a little tight inserting the sensor inside the tank. The service bulletin was of no help. If you can change spark plugs on a V8 engine you should be able to do this. An extra set of hands might come in handy for removing the ROPS.

new to the site and love the wealth of knowlege.I have just purchased the repair kit from my local dealer this morning and have just finished installing it up to and including the point of remounting the bolt on angle bracket under the tank when I realized that the old piece had a gasket between it and the actual sending unit. Needless to say I didn't transfer this gasket to the new piece and I can't see where the instruction sheet says it is necessary.The thing I can't get my mind around is how does the fuel not leak between the sending unit and plastic collar if there is no gasket . Maybe I'm just being **** about it but I don't want to have the same problem that I just spent 1.5 hrs to fix after I'm done. At the same time I don't know if it worth pulling the sender back out to put this gasket in if it is not necassary. Any advise would be greatly appreciated
