All in all a pretty smooth install. It looks very beefy. If you stayed with it I'd say you could do it in a weekend. There is some heavy lifting involved and a few minor hardware issues that came up but nothing I had to run out for. Can't wait to try it of coarse /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif For the same local price quote of $5700 (installed) I shopped around and got the Woods BH6000 Ground Breaker Backhoe for $3899, box blade, rear blade and post hole digger. Satisfaction of DIY........... priceless.

What did the Woods post hole digger cost? I haven't found one around here for under $650 with the auger. I need one, but just can't justify the cost to use ratio at present... Thanks Junk..
Woods PHD25 post hole digger ran $675 with the 9" auger, GBC48 box blade-$499 and the RBC60 rear grading blade was $299. I did the entire backhoe install in stages. Subframe install took about 5-6 hours, hydraulics and swivel seat around 3 hours and backhoe station section took approximately 3 hours. Metric size sockets up to 21mm's and a 7/8" standard socket is needed (1/2" and 3/8" drive ratchets and breaker bars) along with 2 large and 2 small adjustable wrenches that helped with the hydraulic fittings.
