Air inlet hose on mine is rubber, just the same as my radiator hoses that are connected to the engine, vibration doesn't seem to affect them or the rubber engine mounts in any way. I had a filter bracket to break and when I got the replacement bracket it looked the same as the one that broke so when I put the new bracket on, I put plastic wire tie on the filter housing and fastened it to the side, been holding for three + years now.
