Will be installing a block heater in the next few weeks. Mine uses the freeze plug press in style. One thread I found on TBN had very nice instructions and indicated to use Loctite on the plug when pressing it in. The hardware store carries many types of Loctite so I am wondering what product I should use. Thanks

I'd use permatex gasket sealer on it to prevent any tiny leaks. Not sure what the idea is using loctite, maybe help keep it from blowing out? I'd see if loctite advertises it for that application, doesn't seem like the right thing to use to me.

I am also in SW Mi and keep my 2360 in a garage that is heated when I work in it. I have no problem starting the tractor when there is no heat in the garage.

Have a block heater on my L3130 and just installed the one for the BX2230 and used RED Loctite both times and used a socket over the heater to drive them in until the shoulder meets the block. Just make sure when you take the freeze plut out that it does not go inside.

Thanks. I'll definitely be careful when I remove the freeze plug. Would hate to have that drop in.
