BX24 first problem

Went out to crank her up. Dead battery. Charged the battery and with the key off, the dash lights were on. Started the engine, then switched it off and the engine kept running. Called the dealer on how to stop the engine. He said to push the solenoid manually inside the engine compartment. After stopping the engine I could hear a buzzing sound that was coming from the relay under the left side of the dash, so disconnected the battery and charged it overnight. I called the dealer and he said to bring it in. I rented a trailer and drove the 40 miles and everything worked fine when I got there. The service man said he would check it out Monday and give me a call. The weather has been very cold here. Anybody had a problem similar to this?

I have a 2350 that had a pinched harness. Shorted out the fuel shut off solenoid so the engine would never turn off without manual closing the solenoid. The dealer found other 2350's with the same problem with the harness on several in their inventory, but I don't know if it would relate to the 24. This was discovered during the spring/summer.

I rented a trailer and took my BX24 to Golden Eagle in Irwin, Pa and left it last Saturday. Turns out the ignition switch was bad and they replaced the switch and the timer relay plus gave me a new battery. No fuss no problem. I think I have a good dealer. Now it is back home. Huh huh digg digg.

The dealer told me they checked a few others that they had on the lot and the harness routing on those units was at risk for the same issue. I said "Glad I could help."
