I would think the R4 tread would be less likely to damage the turf, since that is where I spend most of my seat time. True or false? Had any problems with the R1s in this regard?

Also, the taller rim means shorter sidewall, thus a stiffer tire for FEL work. How do the R1's hold up to FEL work? The turfs are kind of spongy.

I'm glad I have my bx-22, that bx-24 is Ugly!!! I hate the rounded hood and rounded arms on the FEL.

I've had no problems w/ the Ag's damaging the lawn. The only time I see any kind of indentations is in very wet turf. In normal mowing they don't leave any kind of markings.

As for flex in the Ag's when doing FEL work, I've seen them flex quite a bit with a fully loaded FEL.
I originally wanted the R4's because I'd think they be less likely to get punchured but was told they weren't offered on the BX23, so I went with the Ag's over the turfs.

The Ag's work fine for me and the only reason I'd change over to R4's is when these are worn out, but that said I wouldn't turn down a great deal on a set of R4's mounted on a set of orange rims that'll would fit the BX23 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for the reply. My problem is that I need/want something other than the turfs now, or at least before hard winter comes. I just know that as soon as I purchase the R1s, the R4s will suddenly become available. Decisions, decisions. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been studying this picture of the bx-24 to see what physical changes they have made since the bx-22. It looks like the pulley covers on the MMM are now plastic instead of metal; I'm not 100% sure but those curves are very indicative. Also they have changed the way the backhoe attaches. Instead of the opening jaw clamps that hold it on, it looks like now there is a pin you have to pull out on each side. Did anyone notice anything else non-cosmetic ?

Oh yeah, what is that new pedal in the middle of the floorboard?

Pins would make that very not fun to install, I would think. But you are right, sure looks like it. As for the xtra pedal, one is missing on the left also. Parking brake set pedal or the differential lock. My bet is the diff lock is now behind the hst.

My dealer told me the Hood and possibly the fenders were now made of a plastic material. Not sure if this is true or not.
