I would start with a GOOD starter/alternator shop. We have a couple good ones in Sacramento who deal with this, or customize one to meet your amperage needs. You're in the LA area; there must be some good alternator/starter shops down there...

Artisian I would have to second this. I had a shop build me an altenator for a snow plow truck that blew away the big name brands at a much lesser cost. Food for thought.

Just another idea to throw at you;
How about a hydro motor to drive your winch, instead of electric? You could run it for as long as you wanted, and move it front to rear as needed.

The Kubota # is 19630-64013 (DENSO # 101211-2961) it's a 60 amp unit. :checkeredflag:

This should be a plugNplay bolt-in 33% more output Alternator for a BX25.

Well... That is step one. "I" totally suck at electronics, pittifully so.
I need to find out what could go wrong, or will nothing go wrong so long
as it is only a higher output alternator?
I have yet to have a 12V
expert w/ credentials tell me Yea or Nay...

My BX25 Full Cage Rollbar is not complete
although it is all cut, bent & fitted. Design Alpha is done and I await a professional welder
to break free to come over and tack it all up w/ me helping then disassemble,
go back to his shop to TIG it all up w/ gravity working for us. Gawd his welds
are beautiful. I have 3 Miller welders but that, I am calling in the pros. I need
to finish that task before jumoing head first into another, tis why I explain.

This is leg work for a project down the line. Still much to be alalyzed. The alternator I spec herein
is on EBAY right now w/ great pics for $249.00 so you can go look at it. I found THIS
as well, possibly an aftermarket unit for $87.20 .

If someone does this before me please post up pics and info here.

This is an interesting thread, because it does not seem the issue it used to be. When I first got on TBN, and having an older "B" series at the time, they were notorious for having tiny dynamo's, and very dim headlights; my Mini-Mag Light was brighter than both headlights. Now, you alternator has significantly more output, and tractor much better factory lighting.

I'm interested to find out how this pans out for you... Also curious if this might be an option on the older tractors... I know the guy that bought my B8200; it is still going strong, albiet with pitiful stock lighting and that itsybitsy dynamo.
