Really like the tooth bar. Incredibly easy to install. I think it will do an even better job when i finish my ballast barrel and get an extra 5-600lbs on the back of the tractor.

Great news;

My PTB is supposed to be delivered today. According to the shipping tracker it's on the truck for delivery.

Can't wait to get it installed and use it. If it would only stop raining, lots of mud right now.

Hello to all,

Without me going back and rereading all of the posts, what is a "PTB" ?

So what I am getting out of this thread is, "It is ok to order from BXPanded, but only if you can wait for the Tool ?

I looked on there Site, not sure if I will order any large tools yet but thinking on the Tool Box Holders, I need to call them and get a question straightened out but I like what I see and I was having a little trouble figuring out how to mount the Tool Boxes.


Added: I went to the Site... "Piranha Tooth Bar"... abbreviations, gotta luv'um !

Does this Tool work, in what ways is it used; what I mean is, you bolt it on the FEL, does it make digging in hard packed material easier ?

Is it mainly used for cutting roots when digging with the FEL ?

I've had my tractor for a while but have never seen the "PTB" working or the best way to do a job with one !

My ground out here in SoCal, is sssoooo dry and packed, if I want to dig with the BH, I need to wet the area the night before and then again in the morning... usually only the first 10" to 15", after that it is easy digging.

I used mine on my bx for the 1st time this weekend.

It wasn't the miracle tool everyone said it was, but it was MUCH more productive that just the bucket's flat edge.

I'm hoping it will get better as i get more time using it.

I'm sure it will work better when i get my 5-600lbs barrel ballast completed and installed on the rear.

I ordered mine on 4/25. It was shipped 5/21 at 1:30pm. I got an automatic email with tracking information. It was delivered 5/22 to my door around noon.

Everything was in good shape and packaged well. It installed easily with the included step bit, although I'd recommend saving a little money and just getting a step drill bit from Harbor Freight.

Its seems to be very heavy duty and well made. The stock Kubota BX25D loader leaves a lot to be desired but I have no doubt this will help it perform better. If nothing else, it looks really cool. The design, quality, and price is tough to beat. I feel like it's only a matter of time before I get their skid plate.

I also bought the hydraulic test kit and hopefully will have time to mess with that tomorrow.

From a manufacturing point of view it would make sense to stock oversize lengths of the piranha bar then cut to OAL length for specific buckets and weld on the mounts.
No idea how they produce them but stocking up on blanks before the season peak would be a plus.

I dont see an option to post pics, but the teeth on each end are noticeably different than the middle teeth on the bar on mine. I'm sure that's part of the design. I think there are less teeth on the ends intentionally so in some situations you would end up with a larger clump of dirt on the ends, which would be more stable during transport. Not sure though tbh.

(first contact i rcvd from them and stated purchase might take 21 days, ordered 4/29) I have requested a cancel of my order and refund, since that project was done a long time ago and paid for a different solution. Anyone got a refund from them? I was about to message paypal requesting a refund, but don't want to cause him any trouble, just want my refund.

Curious if anyone has any success in cancelling a order?

They got back to me this morning and said they would cancel/refund.

Like I said piranha bar works great, but when it comes to communication they could use some help. Even just putting a lead time on their site would be helpful.

Its my 1st order with them and coming up on a month wait.
Long delivery times make you look at other options for other attachments moving forward.

I had planned on buying a thumb as well but will look at other options / vendors before pulling the trigger.
"X" makes nice stuff , getting it is the hard part.

It's worth it, but a heads up on lead time would've been nice.

I see a bunch of folks that don't understand "Supply and Demand" as it pertains to small manufacturing companies. I am also guilty of hemming and hawing all winter, debating the details and also wind up behind the eightball. I wait and I complain. Such is life.

Yes, I know. The big complaint is lack of communication from the company. They communicate much better when they are not so overwhelmed. You would think they would notice such "Bad Press" on these sites. Sure hard to rattle cages these days for a lot of these companies.
