Thanks for the reply bz1, the two implements that I have is a MF plow and a JD back blade. Same problem, the pins cannot be moved to the inside. Both of these will fit my Ford 8N and Ford 1300.
Hemiguy, I too have the 46 backhoe that is tearing up the front tires. If you look in the parts catalog they have two 2520 mounting frames. A 4115 LATE VERSION/2520 EARLY VERSION and a 2520 LATE VERSION. The two have different subframes/mounts. I have the 2520 EARLY VERSION. When I turn the wheels all the way to the left or right the tires hit the subframe mounting bracket (even on level ground/in the garage). It´s chewing off about 1" of the outside edge of the lugs (R4s). I had my dealer file a DTEC 2 weeks ago and JD answer was smaller tires. The 2520 comes with 23 - 8.5x12 and they want to put 23 - 5.7x12. I measured the tread width on the 8.5x12 and it measures approx 7" and the 5.7x12 measures approx 4"? I told the dealer that I did not think that was the proper fix. I am waiting for a phone call back from a JD Supervisor.
As for hooking the backhoe up, I have found that if you extend the boom out straight and parallel with the ground, when you raise or lower the backhoe with the support arms the backhoe will move up and down evenly and is balanced. This will help with the tire clearance and putting the pins in the subframe mounts.
