Dealer is replacing my draft arms also, they referred to the solution #73813. The new part# is LVA803085.
Thanks

Hi all,

Update: Over a month now since I was told the replacement lift arms were "ordered" through the DM under warranty coverage.

Starting to get the feeling that Deere won't cover this after all. Looks like GN and myself are in the same "on order" limbo.

Hi tomd999,

the regional rep from JD Corporate told me himself they are honouring the replacement parts.. and he did say "July".. which is probably why my dealer tells me they are not available yet. We'll see what happens this month.

Good luck on your end!

Good job guys. Sometimes it takes this kind of grass-roots effort to force large companies to "do the right thing."

I gotta mention that the factory rep. I'm dealing with suggested we order the arms from the 2720 to replace mine on my 2520. He said he did this because they are available more quickly and are apparently identical to the replacement arms many have mentioned in this thread. I haven't checked the part numbers to compare but I'll see if I get mine very quickly. One should normally get a JD part in a couple of days max.

Last Saturday, Deere told my dealer that my links were pulled from another tractor. The dealer received my replacement links and a new 2520 with the old style links with an I owe you for the new links. I think everyone will get the new links, I don't think that Deere has enough for the DTEC and the new tractors.

I see there are currently a few different threads going on this subject. Looks like a couple of weeks since anyone posted. Any new developments out there, like maybe JD decided to fix this right (maybe new 3PT arms for everyone)? Anyway, my local service manager says he will do his best to get the issue fixed for me. He gave me a recent version of the 73813 Tech Bulletin (June 17, 2008). It has this text at the bottom now:

"Additional Information:
The 2520 draft arms were designed around using standard category 1 implement. If using a standard cat 1 implement, you should not have interference of the draft arms. If the implement is wider than standard cat 1 implement, installing the 2720 draft arms (LVA803085) will provide more draft arm clearance."

So what is the measurement range for standard cat 1 implement end width? I've probably seen some numbers before but anybody know the "official" numbers? I know this is really BS because folks are having problems with Deere/Frontier attachments as well as other brands. Just for grins I measured my 4 attachments and they range from 23" to 30" with all having some wiggle room within that range.

Also, my rear R4 wheel valve stems are pointed out, so does this have them in the wide setting already? Dealer says yes, but I would like to be certain. I have two 60lb weights on each wheel so i'm not going to swap them unless I'm certain it might help a little (and I know you only gain about 1/2" clearance from narrow to wide on the 2520).

Of course everything else checks out OK on the original 3pt arms installed properly so I'm going to call the dealer again tomorrow and ask what he can do next to get me a pair of the 2720 arms. Looks like at least a couple of you have them already.

Most are having the problem even when the I-Match is installed...Especially the the 3PH is raise to the full height.

HERE is link to the ASAE standard for Quick hitches, As far as a "standard" width...there was never really as "standard" used-the spacing was all over the map witch causes grief to those who are now trying to use quick-hitches
