I actually turned out 3 pretty similar to these...mine have a deeper "vee" and fit into brackets I mounted on my car trailer...winch cable guides, in my case.

Magicheater and zzbyv6 pretty much got it. Thomas was beating around the bush pretty close and LD1 was in there too,

I use it for the toplink pin on my attachments and it helps to center my quick hitch. I'm outfitting all of my stuff with them.

Here's my box blade with the first one I had my brother build me. It works awesome. Now I don't have to be so perfectly lined up with my implements. Just get the hook close and this thing will center the quick hitch.
The dimensions are slightly different on this one compared to the new ones but this was a first try. The new ones will allow less side to side movement of the implement.
I have 4 other pieces of equipment that I'm going to equipment with these.

I'm getting 273-1/2 made and using them the same as Firefighter's only I'm adding 100 ton hippozap to mine for extra strength.
