pic looks like terrible quality. I can see the carbon hunks you talk about but the piston looks good on this pic at least? Looks a bit drythough! as does the exhaust port. I would rater see a wet exhaust so that you know that the oil is making it all the way to the exhaust side of the piston. Thats what most of us saw guys like to see is that telltale small trail of wet exhaust. A dry piston is not very lubed.

The dry look is most likely due to how long this unit sat before I got it. There are small scratches on
the piston below the lower ring, but it was prob caught in time. I suspect the cyl, piston, and maybe
even rings may still be OK. I never removed this jug. Sold it for parts.

Priced Stihl Motomix at the dealer this afternoon and was floored when told the 5 gallon jug is priced at $150

$30 a gallon for fuel and they said it sells!

Hasn't any one tried racing gas?

I have been tempted but haven't seen the prices but I'd bet its cheaper than premixed in the stores.

I just checked 5 gallons of 260GT non lead no ethanol $69.00 for 5 gallons = $13.8 a gallon

I think I'm going to try it next time i can get there to pick it up
