Cant decide which model. Help needed?

/ Cant decide which model. Help needed? #11
Like others have mentioned I to own the Cab M5040 and it's one of the best tractors I have ever owned. I use it mainly to run my 8' rotary cutter, and RM990 finish mower to take care of several hundred acres of pasture.

I'm pretty sure the L4400 is not going to handle the 7' rotary cutter you mentioned, and would be much safer with a 6' cutter.

For the rather small amount of mowing and bush hogging you mentioned, plus if you are on a budget, I would look the L4400 or even the L3400 and a 5' cutter.

Best of luck.

had the L4400....for about 3.4 hours. didn't take long with fel work to realize that it's way too small for my needs. frame size, etc. is (IMHO)is just as important as straight HP. working a 7' hog with this model would be like a vw bug pulling a 12' trailer over the rockies. I'd go w/the advice above and spring for the M series. you won't look back. good luck! bb

I realize I didnt say it in the origional post, but in a follow up post. I wont be using a 7foot with the 4400, only with a larger tractor. I think the 5040hydro is what Im gonna get. (Want), after i left the dealer, I got some work news I was not expecting. Not loosing my job, but cutting down hours. So... I need to think this purchase over all together. Thanks for your advice, On my questions though!
