Which grinder did you get, was it hard to get the hang of? I'm hoping that santa brings me one for xmas.

It was the benchmount for ~ $250 if I remember right -- I like it - easy to use and quick - my eyes ain't what they used to be so it helps a lot on that count too -- I used a worn out chain to learn on - only took the one chain to get it down.

Thanks everyone for your input. I think Mike hit the spot as the dead oakwood does kill a sharp chain quick. I don't have a stump grinder so I am cutting the stumps at a point where I do contact the dirt a little. I'm wondering if the carbide is worth the money if you consider the downtime, trips and payment for sharpening/buying new chains??? I was told you can sharpen carbide with special tools. Just not practical by hand. We grind carbide all day long here at work but not chain teeth. I still have at least a dozen dead trees to cut. If I get a carbide chain, I'll update you guys.
Thanks, Kyle
