I am changing out a broken PTO switch, and a newby at wiring. The new switch wiring diagram PT sent me doesn't match how my old switch was configured (PT-2430). (See attached picture) Would I have the wrong diagram, or did the manufacturer (Cole Hersee) change the switch? Also the colors of the wiring is different in my unit than in the diagram (eg, orange vs yellow). I didn't include the entire diagram in the photo, but followed the wires on the diagram. Would the "Black Jumper" on the diagram be the black/white striped wire? It's a rats nest of wires in the tractor so not sure where they all go, I'll dig more to track them later. Going to call Terry next week but wanting to get more information to learn about all this before so I am not so confused. Yahoo is not helping :D. Thanks!!

That's a standard DPDT switch, so with the switches in the same positions, if you get the wires on to the matching corners and center points, you should be fine. I agree that there is next to no room in there on mine. I take off all the panels before I do anything.

When I replace switches like that, I take good "before" photos, then move one wire at a time, and then check my work.

Does that help?

All the best,

Peter
