I would explain the situation to the vet about the bigmouth employee. I would also insist that the employee be severly reprimanded or terminated. I would always have an uncomfortable feeling when dealing with that employee.
Bill

I agree that you need to discuss this with your vet, however I wouldn't "insist" he do anything with the employee. In fact I wouldn't even discuss it. Having been a business owner - nothing ticked me more than someone telling me what needed to done in regards to my employees.

It's obvious to us (me) that this employee needs to go (be fired), how your vet handles the situation with the employee would tell me all I need to know. If a few weeks go by and this employee is still employed I would be finding another vet and quickly.

Jinman something Ive learned in time If I have a situation its better to talk it over with folks that might have been in a similar situation. Back a few years ago I would have walked in the door during the busiest time of the day and raised all manner of heck with them. That method still works with the power company lol.

And yes yall are considered a part of my family, theres tons of advice Ive used from here and i dont really have many friends I can talk to about it here, My Wife would rather just let it go and stick our heads under the sand. My dad has mellowed out ofver the years and is good friends with the vet so I didnt want to burden him with it. I did tell him what happened. He agreed to an extent but didnt want me to get the lady introuble.

Depmandog I wouldnt insist anything but I would ask to have it corrected.

Will its hard for folks not to know I have alot of euipment as I do sub work and jobs that most mini ex and loader owners dont want to do like hard access jobs.

8 dogs whew!! three drive me crazy!! I would think if you told the vet why you where thinking about changing vets something would be done to the employee. Your like have 8 different familys come with one dog, plus you pay your bills. No one wants to see money walk out the door.
I love our vet, great with the dogs, works with payments. I would hate to have to find a new one.

We have another new vet intown I may use him a little and work up a small business with them and see how they work out if I cant Then I will switch.

I have learned that once you find a good Vet, Doc, or Dentist you do not let go of them unless absolutely necessary. Having a good Vet, Doc, or Dentist is too danged important to let go over a gossip. I would mention the situation to the Vet in the most polite and professional manner and see what the Vet says. A simple, "So and So in your office told someone that I was having problems with the bill and I do not like my private business being discussed."

I would bet the Vet is more than a bit concerned.

You have EIGHT dogs that Vet is caring for and I bet you are paying quite a few of HIS bills. :D He should, and I expect he does, value you as a client. If I was him I would be trying to give you more dogs. :D If 'ya got EIGHT you might was well take a couple more.:laughing::laughing::laughing:

We only have 6 dogs, but that's enough to have joking chatter over the size of our bill :)

I definitely would have a polite conversation with the vet/owner. As said, losing you would be like losing 8 clients.

I wouldn't demand any action from the vet/owner BUT I'd have a very brief, calm, polite, one way conversation with the big mouth along the lines of: soand so informed me you told them I might rent my equipment due to financial problems, #1 my business with this office is nobody's business outside of this office. #2 my business is just that, MY BUSINESS.
At the point of discussion, I'd put up my hand and say sorry, you've already said too much and leave.

Good vets are indeed hard to find.
