On one of the AR pages, maybe network page, there is link near top that says something like advance features. When you click, you get another login page. This takes you into linux level interface with a lot more options.

Yes I've been there. Could not find anything helpful....but that could be because of my limited knowledge.

Point of confusion....the connection between the router and mobley is via usb cable. I remember when setting this up, I couldn't really find any documentation about the usb port on the AR150...and still can't. But I hooked it up that way based upon long ago post in this thread....I think...and it work....until now.

I need to bite the bullet and factory reset the mobley so I can get into the settings on it and see what I can..lost password, or should I say, the documented passwords I have don't work, so I lost them or something happened to invalidate some things.

A ways back, and it might be associated with this, had a lighting strike...took out 1 tv, a security monitor, some secuirty cameras, and EOP equipment driving the cameras. And beginning to wonder if it tag something here.

How did you know to do that?...i need to dig into mine...it's like the cable is not connected.

jcummmins has your ar 150 ever worked with your mobley ? or are you trying to get router to work for the 1st time?

if it is the 1st time- mine acted the same way until I input the DNS setting to the AR 150 I originally thought the cable was bad but it was fine. I don't recall having to change the default USB setting.

I know it is possible to get to the ar 150 screen and change settings without any other internet access than is provided by the mobley and no other data cable than the 1 provided with the ar 150 is needed except for AR 150's power cable, I used a 5 volt phone charger.

edit
mine has always said under Internet connections( cable not connected)..
think that is referencing the cat 5 connection Not the usb? It does say modem connections (connected) below that though.

GL-AR150-4b6 router and yes usb cable to Mobley.

Obvious in router view it says cable connection for internet not connected.

I tried to find the setting under advance, network, to set usb2 from usb0, but router screen different than yours and can't locate.

It simply acting like the cable isn't plugged in.

Sometimes the obvious but unlikely solution ends up being the actual solution. Try a different USB cable.

On my issue I plugged into my truck and drove to the ATT store to verify I was in range of a working tower. Still no signal from the Mobley. Called customer service and spoke to some very helpful people that determined my unit has failed. I was instructed to contact ZTE for a warranty replacement and swap in my existing sim card.

Before you send it back did you do a full 30 second power on reset of the mobley mine quit a few months ago and the Only thing that got it working was a power on 30 second hold of the reset button

Well....I switched cables...no change.

I did finally find the page in the router that buckeyefarmer gave the screen shot on. It's set with the usb2.

No I did a few second reset while on the phone with ATT. I never saw a clear indication of a red led though. Just tried this on your advice. My LED never turns red so it appears reset isn't even working on it but it came back to life.

THANKS!

Edit: My elation was short lived. Speeds are in the toilet now. Made sure stream saver was still off but getting 790 kbps. Gonna try restarting again.

Check your DNS settings also. If DNS isn't working then you cant get to the web pages by name.
