There is just no way for a device to pull an IP and use the internet from the Trend Net with DHCP turned off.

My problem is in the IPv6 IP setting in the trendnet it was configured to local only I set it to Auto config but I still missing something cuz it's not picking it up. Do I need something in the IPv6 address area on this picture I took of the screen. 20200313_213150.jpg

I've never used the trendnet as a router before.... It was setup with Wisp with the Mobley, and that's why these config issues are dribbling out.

You don’t need ip6

If you are using it as a router, it needs to be on a different network than the netgear modem.

I don't know much about this stuff but when I tried changing the APN on the Netgear to IPv6 only it wouldn't connect at all. It connects by default to IPv4.

I would try unchecking that box on the router.

In my opinion you are putting way too much thought into this. There are no settings that need to be change in the Netgear modem. If it were me I would factory default the Trend Net and go through the quick set up if there is one. If it is a newer router there should be a quick set up tutorial and hopefully that will get you going. I think you are way too deep into the settings and you will be days getting it right when a quick default may solve your issues. No one at home needs IPV6 for any reason.

Even though I had gone through the setup wizard on the trendnet multiple times that's exactly what I did decide to do I did a reset on the trendnet and plug the Netgear in. Initially it had problems of sinking up between the two devices something flaky going on and is probably in the trendnet. Finally initial sign on to the trendnet took me directly to a setup wizard. And again the trendnet seem to have problems communicating to the Netgear. But finally they did sync up it did make a connection it come through and configured the trendnet and the configuration looks exactly the way it was before I started this process. However this time I've got internet that's broadcasting through Wi-Fi. There was something very odd in the trendnet that was just ruin the whole works up but in either event it's working now if this comes back I probably will get a new router. Thanks everyone.

Well, it's obvious to me now I am experiencing problems with the tower I get my signal from. I tried restarting the Netgear modem and it wouldn't connect at all. I swapped my sim card back to the Velocity and had the same results. After a spell it reconnected. This is not the first time I've had these problems. I think in my case I am going to have to buy a double yagi setup and point it at the closer tower off an outdoor mast.

I know I'm jinxing myself but my Velocity has been rock solid since 3/13.

I bought my Netgear LB1120 from an eBay dealer that doesn't accept returns and there is probably nothing wrong with it so it resides in the closet. One day I plan to try an external yagi pointed at a better tower than I am aimed at now but I'll take the if it ain't broke approach for now.

I have an external yagi setup ordered for Verizon to try and improve my wife's phone connection in the house. If that pans out I will move my phone back to Verizon because I find it connects more places than my AT&T service does.

Kind of surprised we aren't seeing more tower congestion with the Corona Pandemic going on. I'm guessing MOST folks have a wired internet connection though so we aren't the problem there.

Haven't had any issues with the LB1120 since install. Speeds are still in the 50's. Probably has a lot to do with tower location I would guess. Maybe check for firmware upgrades if you haven't. Mine had an upgrade when first installed then another one later on. Kinda odd the Velocity works though. Wonder if it's just a defective modem.
