Ava had a lot of fun today and made today one of the best days I have ever had. She was great opening all her gifts and didn't complain about not getting anything. She was great playing with her cousin when she arrived. She even ate her dinner without any problems. She really did make this the best Christmas ever for me.

Yes, happy kids make life fun.

Eddie, it looks like your youngsters had a lot of fun also.

Scott, she is growing up too quickly. I am not too happy about that but there is nothing I can do.;)

Nice pictures Robert and Eddie! Don't blink or you will miss something and they will grow up quickly!

We had our kids home (still calling them kids, one 29 and two 25) for the day and then last night we all went to see Marley and Me. Wonderful movie and a nice way to finish a great day.

Great looking kids, no doubt!
When you come down to visit the mouse, maybe I can secure "Gracie" for a couple of days. She is a little younger than Ava, but has an annual pass to the mouse's house and plenty of trips under her belt, so she knows more about it than most adults.

Robert, Ava just seems to grow and blossom every time you post pictures. She is truly a precious gift. Thanks for posting.

Eddie, I can't believe how big Peyton and Alissa are. The shot of Alissa in front of the refrigerator really shows how tall she is. It also looks like that toolkit you got for Peyton was a big hit.

Ain't Christmas great?:)

Jim,

Peyton loves his tools. His Granddad is the Chief of Police and city just got a new copier, so they gave Peyton the old one. It weighs about 200 pounds, and right now as I type this, he's been out in the shop dismantling it. He LOVES to take things apart with his tools. He now has a full set of everything he needs and doesn't have to share with me. He'll be out there all day taking it apart, one piece at a time. Every single component of it will be taken apart. He's done this with lawn mowers, VCR's, Radio's and everything else that's broken or just getting old that somebody doesn't want.

Alissa is now five feet tall. I think she grew over six inches this year!!! Peyton is lagging behind and only grew 2 inches all year. The difference between them now is huge.

Hey, guys....
Hope I'm not intruding, but Happy holidays to all of you-- like others, I'm sure I've saved a bunch of $ by keeping up with posts on this forum, and really appreciate the comaraderie that I see & feel here.

Eddie, your son, Peyton (?) -- what's that funny-looking hat on his head? It sure doesn't look like the hats I see around here...:D

My kids are grown (daughter 32, son 28), but son (Doug) has come to visit from Las Vegas and daughter (Wendy) lives with us, along with her son, Jason (7 now). Re-cycled Doug's old HO gauge train set (new transformer) for Jason for Christmas; he's been involved with it now for 3 days, now has bridge/underpass, tunnel (empty cereal box), with his planes forming the "airport."

Eddie, be careful what you give your kids to play with-- Doug started out with old computers, learning how to soup them up as I did cars-- now, he makes a lot more money than I do, for sure! One of the few in his field, I suspect, that has hardware as well as software experience. (Musta spent too much time with the ol' man tearin' stuff apart....) Daughter went & enlisted in the Navy's Nuke Program.... imagine that!

Kids are sure interesting-- I'm having a great time watching how Jason turns out. Best to all you & your families in the new year.

Good Afternoon Irving,
I feel the same way, we have a great group on here, very close to family ! We all share very similiar interests for the most part ! Occassionally we do get some arguments in some threads, which I tend to steer away from but they are far and few between for the number of posters that we have !

We have two boys, and the youngest son Doug is 25, the oldest is Dan at 27. The oldest is a computer science major, and you can guess who I go to when having computer problems ! ;)

BTW, Happy New Year ! :) Jason looks to be having some serious fun with his train set !

Hey, guys....

Don't ever think you are intruding. If any of us were worried about people intruding on our conversations we would keep our conversations in private messages or e-mails. TBN is a great site and I have a lot of friends on here which is why I like to share pics so often on here and I love seeing pics from others also. So you are always welcome to join in to our discussions as the more people sharing the better this site is.

I hope you have a great New Year. Just be careful, before you know it Jason is going to be having you expand the HO train set and that is an expensive hobby now. I always wanted to get into trains but I couldn't dedicate any amount of space for a train layout so I collected model tractors, construction equipment and tractor trailers. Things that fit on shelves;)

Boys or girls?

Boys, one is about 6'3" and around 230 goes to the gym about four days a week. The other guy is 6'3" about 210 and he also goes to the gym regularly.

Both are into fly-fishing, hunting, and most outdoor stuff. We have had some pretty nice fly-fishing trips and plan many more over the coming years.

the three of us fishing the sugar river in New Hampshire

Well, let's see if I can post a picture of my two little girls on their new roller skates Christmas morning. Of course this was Christmas morning, 1971!:D

Robert-
Your daughter looks like my 4year old cousin, Ava.

Eddie-
Your daughter looks like my other cousin, which is another coincidence, her name is Peyton. Put a blond wig on her, they'd be twins!

I was six years old on Christmas morning, 1971. Wish I could remember what I got from Santa that year. Guess my memory is failing me. :D
