Hi Mate,
If this dealer was genuine he would right out there collecting the tractor before now. Firstly the ROPS are only certified if they have not been modified. He has drilled out the bolt hole and replaced it with a bolt. How can he or Kioti guarantee that the ROPS are safe. Just the fact they delivered the tractor with the ROPS in that condition is a deal breaker. Kioti Has a duty of care to insure that it dealers are adequately trained and experienced to prep their tractors for sale. And the dealers have a responsibility to ensure that the tractors are delivered in a safe operating condition and free from defect. I hope that Kioti come to the party, I don't think this guy deserves the chance to fix the issue and I don't think you are expecting too much from Kioti. Good luck and keep us updated and don't let this dull your impression of the tractor. Kioti tractors are very good, and you should expect years of quality service from it. Have been very happy with mine. PS if I was you I would insist on a whole new ROP assembly!

Customer service rep (the only one) isn't returning my calls. I now officially think I should've sprung for more money for less Kubota

Buggs67,

Sorry to hear your selling dealer is an idiot. The ROPS must be replaced with a new one to insure your safety. Kioti Corporate needs to intervene to make it right, and not through your selling dealer, either.
I suggest you find out your closest reputable dealer, call them, make arrangements to get your tractor to them, and get them and you on the phone with Kioti Corporate to resolve the issues to your satisfaction. Once a reputable dealer can see whats wrong/missing, etc. they should be able to help you with K.C. and fix the problem(s). You did not make a big mistake, you were unfortunate to have dealt with a dealer who is not customer care oriented. What they did wrong can be fixed and you will have a reliable Kioti for many happy years of ownership. We're here to help you get what you deserve. I guarantee we'll help you get it right! Meantime write up a formal complaint against the selling dealer and file it with the state's local BBB and Attorneys General Office in their area. Take pics, send them with your complaint and post some here so we can see them too.

BTW, I can't enlarge the one pic you have at the bottom of your post to see what they messed up clearly.

ROPS.jpgMissing lug nut.jpg
This shows the ROPS mounted backwards and the missing lug nut. The ROPS top was backwards and they had the posts on the wrong sides so when it folded down it covered the drivers seat.

I found the stripped bolts when I went to rotate the ROPS, which I thought was going to be an easy fix. The missing draw bar, wires mis-routed etc are minor matters. My biggest concern is if you can't do the ROPS installation correctly, how could they tackle some thing complicated like attaching a FEL and Backhoe and rear remote valve.

Now is the time to write and get the attorney generals office of the state involved. You have given both the dealer and Kioti time to make things right. They may have destroyed the capability of the ROPS to ever work correctly. Make sure you send the dealer and Kioti copies of the letter. Just state facts, not opinions and let the state investigate.

From what the dealer's web site shows they sell everything lawn and chainsaw related and a bunch of used construction equipment. And some new tractors too. I'd bet they put some inexperienced floor sweeper or such on the ROPS attachment and someone with a small amount of skill on the hoe and other things. Show us some pics of how the hydraulic lines attach to the rear remotes, and where they messed up the wiring too so we can tell you if anything looks wrong, etc.
Not time for a Kubota; just be patient, we'll help get all this resolved, OK. The tractor is fine, we just have to get you on track then you'll be a happy camper. Have some faith in our ability to help you resolve this. The drawbar is an expensive piece, and you should get the SMV sign too from whichever dealer you end up working with. Take a deep breath, OK.

Is Connie back? LOL. Seriously, Connie was probably doing what she was told to do. Opining further, Daedong makes would-class tractors but a bad dealer could screw up any brand.

Hey, is this the same dealer that LAK bought from?

Melissa Waters is the CS Rep/Supervisor. She finally got back to me ... no help yet. SO I forwarded my complaint to the CEO's assistant. I'll post pics. The BH lines touch the 3pt hitch arms. If I accidentally move the 3pt hitch lever I think they'd rupture. I sent these pics to the CEO.Hoses hit 3pt hitch arm.JPGTwo missing bolts.JPGMissing bolt & stripped bolt.JPG

I just heard back. The e-mail and photos might have lit the fire. She is promising a reply from the Regional Manager w/in 24 hrs.

Not to stir the pot, but how did you not notice the backwards ROPS and messed up rear remotes when the tractor was delivered? I would have refused delivery right then and there. I hate it that you are going through these issues. I too just bought my first tractor in December, I can't say enough good things about my local Kubota dealer.

He dropped it and ran at 6:30 at night. The ROPS looked odd but it didn't register. The rest came to light slowly. I feel stupid enough.

It's really got nothing to do with either Kioti or Kubota or for JDeere for that matter and yes stirring the pot implying he wouldn't have had a problem with Kubota is kicking the man when his down. Yes Kioti should ensure that the dealers are trained in theses up etc but I see this as the Dealers fault. Yep the guy missed that the ROPS were on wrong but I it was an oversight rather than the dealer who started drilling holes in them to make hem fit. This is not a warrenty issue which is why it has nothing to with the make of tractor. Kioti is an excellent product thousands of owners will testify to that. Good on you mate for getting a Kubota !
