CK2510 poor preperation by dealer

If you have one rear remote set then either pushing or pulling the single
lever will allow flow through the remote valve to your hoe or other attachment, depending on which way the
dealer plumbed the circuit.

Its odd that moving the remote lever in the opposite direction does not make the pump deadhead...

Yeah, the detented remote valve can be set up either way, and if you push the lever in the opposite way
it is supposed to go, you will send oil in the OUT part of the hoe valve, and out the IN part of the valve. When
you operate a hoe valve with the oil flow backwards, and attempt to dig, you will blow out the inner
seals on the hoe valve. The OUT part of the hoe valve can only handle 500psi or so.

This thread is the first I have heard of Kioti (or Bobcat) providing a hoe return-to-reservoir setup, instead of
a hoe return thu the AUX valve. I plan to convert to the better setup this summer when I remove my hoe
for major maintenance.

My hoe came with it installed on my DK-35se/hst in 2009. The dealer setup my DK-40se/hst the same way in 2010 to continue using my existing hoe with the new tractor. It's easy as pie to install on the DK Series. One male QD from the hoe goes into the A or B position on your first (detented) rear remote and the return line from the hoe gets a larger sized male QD which couples with a large sized female QD that replaces the fill plug/vent supplied with the tractor. The 'new' Shepards crook vent is fit to a fitting that screws in place of a male plug on the left side of the trans housing near the 3PH top link bracket. The female QD is a right angle one to accommodate fitment. Don't wait for the big maintenance, you can do it in 10 minutes!

I've been running a Rhino 85 backhoe for 10 years on my DK 35. It does not have this setup. And as far as I'm concerned it does not need it.

Sorry, but Bobcat dealers for the most part have at best had 5 years selling Bobcat branded Daedong built, white Kioti tractors, and few would likely be knowledgeable about this kit. The kit is what should be installed on all of the Bobcat and Kioti tractors with Kioti or Bobcat backhoes. They didn't make the kit for no purpose.

Can't speak to your Rhino hoe in particular, but I can tell you Kioti/Daedong made this kit to allow for better/higher flow and better hydro fluid cooling, both of which are good for the tractor/hoe/operator. If you choose not to use it that's strictly your choice, but Kioti supplies the kit with each backhoe- which should speak to the kit's value to the operator. YMMV.:confused3:

Doesn't your early DK use a diverter for the hoe, Vince?

Of all the tractors I have had, the first and only ones that use the AUX valve (IN and OUT) to run
the hoe are the Kioti/Bobcats. On my CK30, the fluid does get hot, and I think it could be cooler
with a return-to-tank setup. I did that on my first tractor (L2550) and used a hyd fluid refill
adapter at that time.

I know we are getting off the OP's subject.....

I just got off the phone with R. Snyder of Kioti USA, the VP of Sales and Marketing.

He said that thay have arranged with the local dealer to fix my machine. I calling him now!

Justin at Bassani was real nice. He seemed appalled at the poor work and is going to pick up my tractor next Tuesday.

My backhoe plugs into the hydraulic block beneath the right side floorboard, with surprisingly small hoses and quick couplers.
Works fine though.
The fluids do get hot when doing heavy backhoe work, but nothing I consider being out of the normal range.

My dealer tells me that he has never received a backhoe with the kit, and the kit is not available for ordering as either whole goods or as a part. I needed it for my down force kit on my post hole digger, and had to order the six individual parts that make up the kit. It is not like my dealer is just not familiar, as he has been a five paw dealer for a long time and is on the dealer advisory council. I think that Kioti has probably done a poor job in educating their dealers, as some do know of the kit and order it, and others never heard of it.

AT this point I would call any dealership that tells me the kit isn't included a liar and move on to the next (no matter what his credentials are claimed to be). there are simply too many of us who have seen the kit when the backhoe was unloaded from the truck just as described, included with it and have had it installed without any problems from our dealers.
