I keep my ck2610 in an unheated pole barn. It's been very cold here for the past week or so. I thought I'd go out and start her up to see how she ran as this is the first winter I have this machine. I had no problem starting...a little smoke and some banging around not bad for how cold it's been. I let it idle till the engine was running smooth and the temp gauge came up. I backed out of the garage and started going down our driveway and it lost power and died. It started right up no problem and when I went to throttle up the engine dropped off in RPM's and died again. Kind of sounded like it was losing fuel? Started it once more and it ran fine?? I thought maybe the fuel had gelled a bit? I used to have a lower radiator hose heater on my over tractor. I think I'm going to add one to this tractor. I always treated my fuel with a additive for cold weather. What do you guys think happened?
