i test drove a used one but i was planning on a new one for her, i really liked it but we have some dangerous areas around our pond for a stickie peddle, and its so far from the house even if someone was home we wouldnt know. if they could atleast identify the problem then i would feel better about getting one.

Apparently kIOTICK30 didn't bother to check the link Junkman provided that takes him to the Kioti forum? I'm just taking a wild guess here, but it strikes me that he doesn't understand the concept of sarcasm? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

No, he doesn't care. He is a person who was asked to leave TBN for his inflamitory comments about any tractor that is not a Kioti. He is now back under a different screen name. Different name, same attitude.

Were the original air cleaner brackets plastic? My BX is a year old and the bracket is metal, and looks pretty sturdy. The attached pic shows it. Gotta run, I see there is something that needs tightening. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

OK.... now that I have your attention
Chicken Little, I mean Junkman,
I always thought your posts were for the most part informational and amusing. IMO your "sky is falling" headline was inappropriate and in very poor taste. I clicked on this "bold" post because I thought it was something real. I was disappointed to be suckered into your trirade. It won't happen again.

For the most part, I think they still are. It would be nice if people could step back and smile once in a while. There are alot of people with some real problems.
The air cleaner brackets on your tractor and the previous poster's both look the same as mine - and mine cracked. The place where it cracked is just around where the bend in the bracket is at the bottom ( where the flat mounting surface is that goes against the engine the bracket then angles up.)
Frankly I think the broken bracket is something you might easily miss. I noticed my tractor making some funny noises one day and because of the stuff I had seen here on TBN I started looking under the engine compartment - and saw the broken bracket. Since it doesnt really affect the functionalit of the air cleaner I just kep using it like that for 100 + hours.
