clearing land

Even if you just push the trees of in a pile and burn them or let them rot, you will be OK. My folks use to raise strawberries big time, when they would clear some land to put out berries, it was amazing how they would grow in the new ground for several years. Like said, you could always spread the soil back out after burning or rotting. Why spend more money than you have to?

Scott, there were two dozers here pushin' trees. The first was an 8 that cleared the area where the house sets. He did more'n enough in 6 hours. The second was to clear an electric right of way. He had a 6 and piddled around for 2 days, mostly climin' trees that the first guy pushed over. The area was nearly the same, and the second guy's bill was nearly twice as much as the first. No more 6s for pushin' trees at my place.

What models? Highdrive or low drive? A new D6R is the same size as an older D7. A new D8 is the same size as an older D9.

Clarification is in order as some model names/#s have been around for 50 years and they ain't all the same.
