Another idea for an inexpensive temporary cover... find somebody with a large sized boat and offer to dispose of the shrink wrap when they take it off next spring

You missed the thread below. That is what happens to a tractor stored outside. Storing a tractor outside will shorten it's life substantially. I took possession of my dad's 1962 Oliver when he died. He kept it inside and if he hadn't it would be junk now. It was cheaper to build a barn to store all of my equipment than to let them rust outside.

I see a tractor with some rust on the floorpan.
I don't see an unserviceable tractor.
Doesn't look too bad to me for 60 years outside.

I look outside my door & see a 75 year old tractor with some rust in places that did work 2 days ago & has lived OUTSIDE almost every single day for it's entire 75 years.
It has faded paint & weather checked tires but it works every time I ask it to.
Still mows grass, pasture, & even swamps.
Still plows the drive & road.
Still drags trees, brush & trailers.

That tractor is only about 20 years old. He's spending almost $3,000 to replace the entire floorboard. That $3,000 would be a start to building a barn. Newer tractors apparently don't hold up as good as your old tractor when left outside.

Thought the floorpan was for the 62 Oliver.

Still don't see anything unserviceable about that floorpan.

That floor pan wasn't unserviceable.
I would wager that it was a lot more then being parked outside that, salt or calcium or manure tracked into it and rained or snow melt to carry it under a floor mat.

My Kioti open station has rubber mats. I happened to pull off the left one and was surprised to find it rusted thru the paint in places and some serious pitting. On a 2014! I removed the floorboard, sanded off the rust and primed with rust inhibiting paint. I let it cure 3 days and covered that with spray on bed liner. The right side was OK, I guess because that is where the treadle pedal is.

Remove the rubber floor mat from a 2014 pickup and you are apt to find very similar pitting... if not a hole in the floorboards. That’s why I prefer carpets with a rubber mat I can take out occasionally

Yes. Water can evaporate through it, so floorboards last longer.

I've seen floorboards rusted through under carpet.
