Hello,

I've read through all of the posts concerning this trailer and there seems to be a lot of customizations folks have done.

Not being very skilled at some of this, curious if I could get some input on a couple of them.

1. Hydralics - I'd like to attach this to a JD 2520 equipped with the PowerBeyond kit. Not sure which specific hydraulic cylinder or controller to use.

2. Will start a welding class in spring would be good to have a project to make a swinging tailgate. Any pointers on design would be a great help.

1. Does your tractor have 2 (or one?) hydraulic ports on the back of it, and a hyd lever to control this port?

Then most any hyd cylinder will work, both hoses makes it work in both directions, just one hose & it will lift up, fall back down (slowly) with gravity. The cylynders are pretty much universal, just pick the size you need.

JD often has closed center pump, which does not use PowerByond, many other companies use open center pumps which are the type that use PowerBeyond. Perhaps the smaller JD's are also open center. Anyhow, if you don't have any controls on the tractor yet, you would need to tap into the right places with hoses, & get the proper type of valve (Power Beyond/ Open, or Closed).

The PowerBeyond has and in and out port.

No problem with the help. There are many examples of people adding to this. I just need to organize specifics.
