Combo subsoiler middlebuster

Boy did I goof up. I ordered a King Cutter combo subsoiler and middlebuster from Northern Tool and waited for it to come in. It finally got here and I saw the box and wondered where the rest of it was. I did not realize that the King Cutter XB or whatever it is, is for the really small tractors that can't use category 1 stuff.

So here I am... does anyone know of a true category 1 subsoiler middlebuster combo? I see the subsoiler only everywhere but figure it is a waist to buy both when a combo unit will do nicely.

Howse makes a combo unit. I bought it from Northern Tool. It included a subsoiler blade, a middle buster blade, and a trailer hitch (without the hitch ball), plus 2 bolts to hold the various pieces together. I swapped the bolts for a pair of top link pins so I can change the system without having to use a couple wrenches. I use it on a TC24 (which is roughly the same size as your CK20) and a B2910.

I'll try to track one of those down... and I forgot to ask in the original message. Should I just try to sell the one I have for what I have in it minus what I would pay to send it back, or should I just send it back and get the Howse?

If they still sell Howse then you may be better off trading it in, any way you look at it you are unfortunately going to eat some shipping costs.

If they never mentioned that the first one wouldn't fit a cat 1, then I would ask them to eat the shiping charges back, especially since you will be ordering the correct one from them.

TSC sells them. I bought the middlebuster and it served the purpose for the price.

I too bought TSC combo and it has served me well. I pull it with a John Deere 2010 45 hp with a catII hook up. My soil is light and mixed with a lot of sand. Haven't tried it in clay yet.
