Actually I have...... That is funny, I have sold quite a few of those pumps for that very reason.
Mine has power steering so that makes all the difference in the world but what I like most is the power down 3 point. Nice feature.
I carry lots of parts for that model if you need any down the road.

I'm glad my information was helpful. I hope your tractor works out as well as mine has. It still impresses me how much work the 2310D will do.

Bruce,

First, welcome to TBN.

I can only offer input on #4 on your list, and I'll expand a bit too. I believe you should be using transmission/hydraulic fluid on your yanmar, jd303 equivelent.

With that said, I strongly believe that I own a tractor from the same refurb factory that yours likely came from. I can recommend that you check all fluid levels and filters. You may find (e.g. front axle) that the fluid level is way below normal or that it is quite old. It may be possible that your tractor was prepared and then sat and moved very little for a year + before you found and purchased. Check the levels and filters, start fresh, and good luck. Yanmar makes good tractors, you should be pretty happy with your tractor! -art

we run ATF. in all our power shift tractors, we have for years without any problems, in fact when they arrive from Japan most of them have ATF in them already, plus red fluid is easy to see if you spring any leaks ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dont forget Type F, Mercon I,II,III,IV,V, SP, and probably a few more I cannot remember.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But seriously folks. I have been told by some ATF specialists that the only difference between the majority of the fluids available is the additive package it has. Therefore, Type F will work in SOME of our modern auto trans boxes, though shift feel may change and clutch dammage may occur. So I wouldnt recomend that. For the purpose we are talking about here, in a manual box, any of it should do just fine.

Does this help the hyd. lift perform better / hyd. pump perform better ? Or, does All hyd. functions perform the same as it does with 303 hyd oil ?

We use ATF. because when its cold out it doesnt take forever to warm up, otherwise all functions are the same.
