Thanks again to all who responded to my earlier questions on this machine -2310D. After picking it up this weekend I have a couple more questions/comments:
1. Types of Manuals available?... Shop, Parts, Operator - and best place to find them... http://hoyetractor.com/?
2. Noticed the PTO shaft free spins in PTO neutral.. No torque though, can be stopped w/ 1 hand. Some PTO systems have neutral adjustments for this. All 4 PTO ranges are fine. Any comments to free spinning?
3. Charging voltage appears to be unregulated (or if regulator present, then inop. Voltage floats upwards of 15vdc like the cheap lawn/yard tractors do. Does the 2310 in fact have an actual regulator for control of charge V+? Not concerned if no regulator present, as I can design one in easily. Alternator looks pretty tiny - found the full wave bridge rectifier in the wiring harness going into the firewall, and it appears to be low duty also, so I expect the charging amperage on this system to be quite small - under 10 amps?
4. The following sound correct? Hydraulic fluid PTO/trans reservoir takes Universal Tractor Fluid? Front tires 40psi and rear 20psi?
5. For those of you w/ 2310s, at what low temps do you have cold start problems? What start-up procedure do you use? No glow plugs on this unit, rather uses a chamber with heater wire? Would appreciate some more dialogue on this. Absent the manual I'm asking these dumb questions.
6. Also noticed there does not appear to be a check plug for identifying the min/max level for trans/PTO fluid. Refill cap on top of trans allows for visual into gear box, but no dipstick present. What level check do you use on the 2310?
