Common sayings that are wrong or butchered

On the subject of sayings, or statements that bug me, the most common is when a criminal is caught in the act, in view of multiple witnesses including LEOs or clearly on video, and he is referred to as a "suspect".
You can thank the Legal System for that. I would call that criminal a perpetrator.

Also, bad grammar is now good grammar.

"My wife and me went shopping", instead of "my wife and I went shopping".

"It was a nice day our for my wife and I", instead of "it was a nice day out for my wife and me".

"Him and I had a good time", instead of "he and I had a good time".
I'm sure our high school English teachers are rolling over in their graves, but does it really matter as long as your point gets across?

Is veteran two or three syllables?
I pronounce it with three: vet·er·an
/ˈvedərən,ˈvetrən/
Everyone else says "vet-trun"

I use to always mispronounce, "posthumously," as "post humorously."

Guess I'm guilty of that one. One that always bugs me though is those who pronounce insurance as inch-runts.

I've always said vet.

Try vet-er-an...vet-er-an...vet-er-an. It's easy after a while!
Vet someone may think it's veterinarian.
(Although some say "vet-ra-nar-iun")

I pronounce acoustics as "a que sticks", not "a koo sticks". Always bugs my friend who is a stereo speaker designer.

Any phrase with the word "Quatum," inserted, is most likely, misused. :)

You often hear the word "nuclear" pronounced with just two syllables...
